AXA’s previous office had large fixed desks on a 1:1 ratio and little collaboration space resulting in meeting rooms always being occupied. The kitchen was too small and therefore always busy. They wanted an office which was less desk-focused and encouraged agile working.

The previous desk-centric design has been swapped for an office that now has 45% desks and 55% alternative work settings. Project work areas, focused working pods and a large breakout space provide the main focus of the design.

Well-being and staff agility are very important. We therefore designed a fully height adjustable desk solution into the office, encouraging staff to move around. The position of the office with a largely green outlook, inspired a biophilic theme inside, with a large feature moss wall, and forest wallpaper.
