Alicja our Polish-born designer has a passion for shoes, handbags and travelling. She has visited Italy twice in the last 8 weeks and has plans to go again!
How did you get into interior design?
Since I was a little girl I have loved moving furniture around my room and was constantly changing the décor. So one day I thought I might put my skills to better use and enrolled on an interior design course at university.
What’s your design style?
I would describe my design style as a contemporary complemented by elements of nature.
What do you like about working at OEG?
OEG has a friendly atmosphere and a wide range of interesting projects.
What part of your job do you find most challenging?
Definitely budget – it creates a lot of restrictions!
What aspect of office design is often overlooked by clients, but should be given more thought?
That would be acoustics. Very often this is the very first item removed from the budget but is has a huge influence on employees performance.
What’s the most exciting thing you’ve worked on in the last year?
Designing an office space with living trees inside!
What would we find you doing outside of work?
I love musicals also being by the sea – I’m a qualified scuba diver.
